Bandit Lord

The Idea

Bandit Lord is currently in an early design stage. The game is intended as a sort of thief/bandit simulator in which the player becomes a bandit after being betrayed by the lord of the army he was a soldier in, it would offer the player multiple options of background, whether they become a foreign mercenary, local farmer levy, or Man-at-Arms of lower nobility. each background would also give the player different potential starting 'class' (meaning the skills their character starts with in regard to combat).

 

Moving past the early game full of small scale theft and banditry, the player will be able to form a gang of bandits under their command and start claiming territory within the various towns, and villages in the area. Including setting up a HQ in one of various potential locations such as an abandoned warehouse, abandoned fort, a forest clearing, etc. The intention of this mid game gameplay would be to bring the player more income and access to harder banditry related tasks such as raiding villages, kidnapping, robbing travelling merchants and nobles, etc.

the end game would be considered to be when the player has built up a considerable force in order to take on the soldiers of the lord and take over the region for themselves, and get revenge against the lord.

In essence the game is designed as a open world RPG with a focus on combat, theft, and faction management.
